The role:
Cardno now Stantec is currently looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer that will assist Cardno Engineering teams in the delivery of local and international projects utilizing knowledge and skills learned in higher education including design principles and computer skills to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
Your responsibilities will include -
Work as part of a team of engineers, designers and drafters
Production of Design and documentation including Specifications and Bills of Quantities using software design packages.
A commitment to continuous improvement and quality systems.
Commitment to the implementation of Equal Opportunity and Occupational Health Safety & Welfare legislative requirements.
Commitment to the implementation of Quality Assurance principles in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
Project related site visits (if applicable)
Other task as assigned by Project Manager / Team Lead
About you
To be successful you will display -
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (should be a licensed Engineer)
At least 1-year work experience
Basic understanding of design standards
Knowledge of mechanical/civil design tools such as AutoCad and software packages such as MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a group accepting accountability and responsibility.
The ability to identify and prioritise tasks in consultation with the Project Engineer / Team Lead / Project Manager
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to apply effective time management skills
