About this Opportunity
The GMEI Operations Manager (Manager) is responsible for engaging with their assigned Team Lead to ensure that day to day operations expectations are being meet. This will be achieved by ensuring excellence in customer service, identifying an providing individual and team coaching/development and maximizing the capacity utilization of their assigned team.
The Manager should have a working knowledge of the GMEI Operation, tasks and expectations associated with the role, and they will collaborate with other area leadership to deliver performance in line with GMEI operational targets, proactively discover areas of operational efficiencies and capacity creation.
Finally, the Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all escalations are properly resolved in a timely manner, act as a point of contact for other members of leadership and take ownership for those escalations that fall under their remit.
What You'll Do
Keep up to date with both GMEI processes and rules to ensure up to date/current knowledge is being passed on to team members (Internal/External)
Ensure that communications are cascaded to team members in an effective, efficient and timely manner
Monitor and review team/individual performance throughout the day, communicating current statistics, and taking actions to avoid negative impacts operational targets, highlighting any concerns to the Team Leader
Liaising with and assisting the Team Leader with the continuous updating and implementation of best practices throughout GMEI making sure that they are shared verbally/electronically, encouraged and understood within the team
Prepare and send, timely Rejection Feedback to individual team members to support performance improvement
Mediate issues within the team, escalating as and when to the Team Leader
Ensure the GMEI Portal User Guide is updated when required, to include the most current and accurate guidance.
Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Sound Like You?
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Good working knowledge of GMEI business rules and processes
Demonstrates excellent forward planning and personal organization.
Ability to identify potential issues and problems in timely manner and take relevant action
The ability to effectively coach and mentor members of staff
