Global Security (GS) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. The GS Technical Security team consists of a dynamic group of security professionals who support and enable the physical security of our retail and corporate environments through access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and video surveillance technologies. They are responsible for the overall design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of integrated security systems that protect the firm across the logical & physical threat spectrum. Technical security professionals work closely with key stakeholders across Global Security, Global Real Estate, Chase, and multiple groups within our Global Technology organization.
The position of Alarm Monitoring and Operations Center Manager is based in Manila, PH. This position will play a key role in the initial design, build, and operationalization of the Philippines Operations Center to include: establishing the physical office space including all real estate and technology requirements; working with HR and the North America leadership team on staffing priorities, identifying talent, and onboarding of resources; operationalizing various operations and monitoring procedures and associated workflows; and providing local management and oversight to a team of security professionals on a daily basis.
Scope
As manager of the Philippines Alarm Monitoring and Operations Center you will be a key figure within the management framework of the GS Technical Security team, providing direct support to North America and reporting directly to the Global Head of Technical Security. You will be responsible for driving a multi-year strategic initiative to design, build, operationalize, and facilitate management of a team of security and operations professionals who will provide direct support to North America security, technology, and monitoring operations and programs.
This is a role for a professional manager who is equally comfortable working with the business, corporate functions, and technology while managing people and process. A wide variety of strengths and capabilities are needed, including:
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across security, real estate, technology, and local Philippines leadership to cultivate support for the design, build, staffing, and operationalization of a team providing direct support to North America security programs, projects, and operations
Within the framework of a strategic work augmentation initiative, your initial responsibility will include oversight and management of corporate alarm monitoring and project management operations
Overall responsible for recruitment and selection of resources to support operational demands and ensure correct staffing levels are always maintained
Manage all aspects of the 24/7 operations of an Alarm Monitoring Center while simultaneously providing oversight to a team of project managers responsible for multiple programs exceeding $40M+ annually
Organizational management including strategic planning, budgeting, project management, process improvements, and reporting for key stakeholders
Support senior management by identifying risks and ensuring the smooth continuance of business functions and integrations with other technical security platforms across the enterprise
Lead working groups to address technical security operations, strategies, risks, and product support as needed
Carry out on site training for all staff, to include new member training, new systems training, and refresher training
Act as a Thought Leader to drive problem solving and identify business solutions
Qualifications
Previous management experience in a similar role required
Excellent communication (both written and oral) and organizational skills
Extensive knowledge of controls (physical, logical) to include experience working in a highly regulated environment
Working knowledge of physical security technologies and devices such as access control and video
Working knowledge of IT infrastructure and network architecture and design preferred
Strong Project Management skills (agile and waterfall) required; knowledge of JPMC tools and processes strongly preferred
Experience implementing technology solutions and related workflows strongly preferred
Ability to communicate technology and security concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, to include the ability to articulate the value of physical security controls in a corporate environment
Intelligent, articulate, and persuasive leader who can serve as a senior leader within the technical security team
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize workloads within a busy, changing environment and meet tight deadlines
