This includes integrated processes spanning Financial Analysis and Reporting (FP&A), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Finance Operations (Fin Ops), using data in a consistent and uniformed way and migrating from aging technology to an Oracle ERP Cloud platform, supported by best of bread components. The transformation journey is well advanced, with our Group Head Office and North American Operations business live and other releases in progress. ^ In addition to the Programme, Finance is looking to improve the level of service it provides to its business stakeholders and to find efficiency opportunities within the global function, this includes opportunities to consolidate and simplify existing Finance support functions under a single global leadership structure. | The Global Finance Systems Senior Analyst (GSSC) is a senior role in the Global Finance Systems Support team in GSSC, reporting to the Global Core Finance Systems Support Lead (GSSC), and will maintain and prepare systems for financial reporting, provide Finance Systems (Oracle, FDW and other systems) admin and maintenance support. The role will involve providing level 1 Finance System Support which will be responsible in all execution activities around system administration, finance master data maintenance, global incident/defect triage management, trouble shooting, etc. It includes liaison with internal and external customers to formulate and to implement process improvement | Responsible and Managing the Support Analysts in Manila. Back-up for the Global Core Finance System Support Lead | Managing the reporting pipeline and development of enhanced/new reports for EO, APAC, NAO, ANZO, Group and GSSC.

Required Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
• 4 years relevant experience
Preferred Education
• Excellent understanding of the Finance function including Financial Accounting and Reporting, Planning budgeting and Forecasting and Finance Operations processes
• Knowledge of Finance technologies and implementation leading practices
• High level knowledge of and ability to drive improvements for finance systems
• Strong understanding of Oracle and/or Fusion Financials demonstrated via 3-5 years implementation/support experience
• Appreciation through experience of change management approaches and tools
• Extensive Insurance accounting and/or support/implementation experience within the insurance sector
• Effective in operating on a global scale
Preferred Knowledge
• Excellent MS Office skills including advance excel to macro level and VBA skills desirable
• Chartered Accountant (ideally) with supporting relevant skills and experience in a Finance environment
• Managing reference data in a complex multi-dimension environment
• Ability to lead process and control matters across multiple geographies
• Senior and executive level Stakeholder management and communication
• Ability to influence and lead junior support analyst
• Understanding of Oracle's architecture and key configuration options - specifically Oracle Fusion

• Intermediate to Advanced problem solving skills and analytical skills; very good attention to details

• Engage and influence Finance management team to embed a continuous improvement culture supported by ongoing change management
• Work in conjunction with Finance Transformation Programme teams to transition activities into BAU support using a rigorous service taken on approach
•Ensure that the Global Oracle FIAB Tower complies with all relevant Group Policies and Standards, including but not limited to areas such as Financial Control Frameworks, Data Governance, Information Security and BCP
• Develop ongoing opportunities for process improvement, automation and simplification
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure thorough review, identification and rectification of any issues raised so that QBE achieves expected standards and best practice requirements
•As appropriate, consult and collaborate with the QBE Finance, IT and third party SMEs, to ensure the effective execution of changes
• Build and ensure support SLAs and KPIs are understood and agreed by all key stakeholders and that KPIs are met or exceeded
• Provide business and system support to finance community across all divisions and group
•Provide front line operational support in accordance with service standards ensuring the provision of excellent customer service
• Provide advice, guidance and information on financial systems matters to support decision making and improve understanding on financial management
• Provide diagnosis and problem solving for the QBE suite of Oracle Fusion finance applications and business processes across General Ledger, Financial Accounting Hub, Accounts Payable, ICO, and Procure to Pay, as well as integration points to other components of the FTP architecture (for example Hyperion Planning, Finance Data Warehouse etc.)
• Prioritize incidents/issues using business rationale and interact with third party managed support towers to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Interact and influence IT and Finance practitioners to resolve problems and achieve satisfactory outcomes
• Liaise with the Onshore team to ensure new finance system releases are evaluated as to appropriateness and implemented within timescales
• Continue to seek out improvements to transaction processing and establish methods to reduce unnecessary processing time
• Escalate issues as appropriate
•Provide technical expertise and role modelling to Finance System Support Analysts
• Be accountable and drive tasks through to execution
• Implement reporting performance objectives for your teams
• Create and drive team priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives.
• Represent Finance System Support in departmental meeting to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice with technology.
• Implement and develop operating documentation and training materials to empower staff
