POSITION SUMMARY:
The GL Accounting Lead supports in the coordination of the company's general accounting activities, income taxes to ensure the timely
and accurate delivery of financial information. The Lead also handles the accounting staff on the daily tasks to ensure timely delivery.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
1. FINANCIAL REPORTING ·
Perform month and year-end closing activities and reconciliations
Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances
Consolidate financial statements of the company and its subsidiaries
Generate and distribute financial reports to management on monthly and timely basis
Review financial reports to identify and explain variances
Lead audit of the companies being handled and submit AFS before deadline
Adhere to accounting standard accounting principles and company procedures
Perform analytics on companies handled as part of the Excom package
2. TAX COMPLIANCE
Prepare income tax computation and discuss with Finance Manager
Ensure timely filing and payment of quarterly and annual Income Tax Return
Timely filing and submission of other returns (1709, etc.)
3. OTHERS
Follow documentation policy to maintain accounting files
Perform various special projects and analysis as requested by management
Supervision of Accounting Staff and provide guidance in accomplishing daily tasks
Provide draft of consolidated projections for income and expenses, budgets and financials and discuss with management the results to be used as stratplan projections
Provide adhoc reports required by head office on Audit, Interim FS, Tax and others (Covid-related expenses, details on breakdown of FS Items, etc.) ·
Assist Accounting Manager on annual strategic planning and budget preparation
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Accountancy Graduates only
With CPA License
With 2 - 3 years of working experience in Accounting; preferably in the Real Estate Industry
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Power Point
Knowledge of tax accounting, compliance and all types of tax returns.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
