Job Descriptions
The Geotechnical (Earthquake) Engineer will be involved through all stages of the project, from writing proposals, site investigations, developing concept and detailed designs leading to construction management. They will undertake design works including but not limited to:
Developing Terms of Reference for Soil Investigations
Geotechnical Data Interpretation
Seismic Response Analysis and will lead on the preparation of EGGAR
Liquefaction Assessment
Settlement Analysis
Stability Analysis using Deltares and Plaxis
Leading and reviewing geotechnical designs
Job Qualifications
10 years of experience in geotechnical seismic engineering works
Higher university degree (MSc or PhD) in geo-engineering (geological or geotechnical engineering) with graduation project (e.g. thesis) and/or courses in earthquake geotechnical engineering or engineering seismology
Licensed Philippine Civil Engineer
Profile & Competencies
Sound technical understanding of geotechnical engineering
Knowledge of numerical models (e.g. Plaxis) and programing skills (e.g. Python)
Strong analytical ability, proactive and committed to technical excellence
Innovative solutions with an eye for geotechnical risk management
Management and collaboration with diverse colleagues
Must be cooperative, commercial and able to quickly make contacts
Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexible attitude and willing to travel when required
Confident and outgoing nature
Understanding of and competence in digital ways of working
