As the appointed recruitment agency for our client, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the pre-opening, launch, and ongoing management of this high-end bar and restaurant. Key responsibilities include:
 
1. Pre-Opening Phase:
Assist with managing the buildout of the bar and restaurant, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with owners, contractors, architects, and designers to ensure the space meets high-end standards.
Oversee the installation of necessary equipment, including POS systems and security measures.
2. Operational Management:
Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the establishment.
Manage all purchasing requirements, including inventory management, vendor relationships, and cost control measures.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
3. Human Resources:
Lead the hiring and training process for all restaurant and bar staff, including bartenders, servers, chefs, and support staff.
Foster a positive work environment, providing ongoing support, coaching, and performance evaluations to team members.
Implement scheduling and staffing strategies to optimize efficiency and customer service levels.
4. Communication and Customer Service:
Maintain open and effective communication channels with staff, management, and customers.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed guest expectations.
Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, driving repeat business.
5. Food Preparation and Quality Control:
Oversee food preparation processes to ensure adherence to high-quality standards and presentation.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to develop innovative menu offerings and seasonal specials.
Monitor food costs and waste, implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a high-end bar or restaurant setting.
Demonstrated ability to assist with managing buildout projects and familiarity with POS and security equipment requirements.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Extensive knowledge of purchasing procedures, inventory management, and cost control measures.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
