Job Description
The General Ledger Supervisor is responsible for the accurate and speedy recording, analysis and reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts.
GENERAL LEDGER & SUPERVISION MANAGEMENT
Generates proof list of Disbursement ledgers, journal voucher register, subsidiary ledger and payable ledgers.
Reviews and analyzes all proof lists particularly on the proper charging of accounts.
Prepares and records adjustment entries to be made on the above-mentioned ledgers.
Oversees accuracy of work performed by GL/SL/FA Analysts for Feedmill and Farm.
Prepares performance appraisal of team member
FINANCIAL REPORTING
Generates trial balance monthly for financial statements preparation.
Prepares proforma monthly FS and FS annex schedules.
Prepares initial analysis of account variances, current versus previous months.
Coordinates all inputs in the preparation of notes to financial statement.
Maintains the books of Fil-Agri Holdings.
Prepares monthly and quarterly reports to AEV.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL AUDIT (INCLUDING BIR)
Assists auditors both external and internal during audit engagement.
Prepares inputs for regulatory compliance (BIR/BOI/Local government).
INTERNAL CUSTOMER
Ensure effective partnering with AVP & VP Controller, Site Controller, General Accountant and Division Accountant to be able to communicate critical financial information.
Ensures that all schedules are reconciled with the books and are submitted on time.
OTHER TASKS
Handles projects assigned from time to time
Implements company programs such as ISO/HACCP, 5S/GMP, Safety, Green Program, Information Security Management System (ISMS), Branding, etc
Food Safety: * Ensures execution of quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations within the team.
Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
Other Tasks: * Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the team leader.
Qualifications
Graduate of BS Accountancy, Preferably a CPA
1 year experience in supervisory capacity handling general ledger and/or payable accounting
Working knowledge of accounting principles and accounting cycles
Knowledge of Audit principles
Oral and written communication skills
Ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships
Consistency, attention to detail, and perseverance
