Job Overview:
Responsible for performing various clerical and administrative duties. Takes care of the basic office tasks that involve filing, reporting, bookkeeping and general office operations. Assists the General Manager in maintaining accounting/financial records and fulfilling other ad hoc tasks.
General Clerk Responsibilities and Duties:
Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices and checks
Process and prepare documents, such as business and government forms
Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents and records
Utilize and operate office appliances such as photocopier, printer, scanner and computer for word processing and spreadsheet creation
Prepare checks, deposits and other bank transactions
Compile financial records and data and prepare variety of reports
Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible
Perform other office duties as assigned
College Degree of any business course -- Graduate of BS Accountancy is an advantage
2+ years proven work experience as an accounting/office clerk
Familiarity with basic accounting principles/practices
Strong knowledge of office procedures
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Comprehensive and complete understanding of accounting practices and procedures is an advantage
