Job Summary
General Accounting Staff assist the General Accounting Supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the accounting processes as well as execute steps to comply with all government statutory requirements and Company mandated procedures. The General Accounting Staff prepare, validate, process, record and monitor business transactions,focusing on Assets (Inventory, Supplies and Receivables). General Accounting Staff uses Company purchased software/s, manual procedures and is an essential member of Finance department in providing quality service to employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist the General Accounting Supervisor in managing and monitoring government compliance requirements applicable to the company.
o Initial preparation of Tax forms and filing (e.g., withholding tax, VAT, income tax and compensation tax). Support the Accounts Payable Accountant in regular filing.
o Initial preparation of regular Financial Statements and related Notes.
o Prepare and collate documents assigned to finance required to be submitted to government agencies (not limited to BIR) and third-party groups such as Film Development Council of the Philippines.
· Analyze and validate business documents and transactions and record and summarize these transactions in the Accounting System.
· Monitor inventory and supplies in as much as accounting records.
· Manage procurement together with Business Units.
· Collaborate with TDA partners, third party entities and government agencies as applicable in the performance of the activities of a General Accounting Staff. And other activities as needed by Accounting Team
Work Experience
· Has worked in bookkeeping, finance compliance and financial reporting.
· Degree in business courses or knowledgeable in mandatory requirements and best practices in Finance Controls and reporting.
Basic Accounting and bookkeeping is a plus.
