Job Description:
Role Purpose:
Perform General Accounting focusing on regulatory compliance and treasury functions of the Chubb Business Services Philippines. Participate in close-off activities, tax filing and reporting activities, and provide assistance as when is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounting and statutory reportorial/filing requirements of government/regulatory agencies, i.e., PEZA/BOI (financial reports), SEC (GIS and audited FS) LGU (Business Permit) and BIR (filing of tax returns and audited FS, Vendors Alphalist, List of Purchases, Annual list of Taxes Withheld (1604E), Annual List of Taxes on Compensation (1604CF) etc.
Responsible for any regulatory audits (eg tax audits)
Review coding (Account, department and OU codes etc) of AP payment entries via Workview system and subsequently forward to respective work basket of department approvers
Prepare expense vouchers and manual cheque, if any and applicable as supported by PO/Vendor invoice or Contracts/Agreements
Validate correctness of tax withheld and prepare Certificate of Withholding Tax (BIR Form 2307) for each payment to vendor
Process/Accomplish bank wire transfer forms for Telegraphic Transfer payments, if applicable
Process/Accomplish bank debit advice for employee payments i.e., TER, and other special payments requiring direct credit to employee payroll account (CA Sharepoint & Concur System)
Handles treasury and banking processes, requirements and reporting
Active engagement in annual external audit by producing schedules related to the accounts under this role
Assist in the month end closing activities based on the financial closing calendar and support the team on journal entries related to functions of the role
Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation and ensure proper supporting documentation for accounts related to this role
Coordinate with other finance functions and other departments in resolving reconciling items
Provide support in finance-wide projects, including but not limited to, process efficiencies and improvement
Assist with budget and forecast preparation where needed
Help in other finance work related and adhoc tasks when necessary
