ACE Shared Services, Inc. is looking for a General Accountant to be responsible for the bookkeeping, compilation, and preparation of periodic financial reports (i.e., monthly, quarterly, and annual) on a timely basis. This role will also focus on the processing of financial transaction and ensuring appropriate documentation of accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain financial databases, electronic and hard copy filing system
· Assist in preparing budgets, forecast and financial studies
· Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requirements and the necessary coordination thereof
· Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
· Handle compliance to regulatory requirements such as BIR, LGU and other regulatory agencies as and when needed
· Maintenance of general ledger accounts and adjustments of assigned companies to ensure accuracy and integrity of books of accounts and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, at all times.
· Timely closing of books and preparations of periodic financial statements and analyses for management and consolidation requirements, on a monthly basis.
· Compliance to all other filing and payments and/or submission of reporting requirements Lenders, to LGUs, BIR, SEC, BSP, ERC, DOE, SBMA and other government regulatory bodies.
· Preparation of documents, schedules, reconciliations requested during audit of the following:
· SGV - annual statutory audit and special review engagements
· Department of Energy - audit of benefit to host community
· Perform other functions that may be required as and when necessary
Job Requirements:
· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree - Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
· Passed Board/Professional License Exam, but not required
· Preferably at least 4 years of relevant accounting and audit work experience; knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), knowledge of taxation and financial reporting
· Preferably with experience in power industry (local and international markets) and/or holding company structure
· Strong background in business combination and consolidation of financial reporting standards
· Excellent communication skills
· Key competencies: coordination, problem solving, monitoring, financial modeling
· Knowledge or experience in SAP is an advantage
