GENERAL ACCOUNTANT
Ralph's Wines and Spirits is a family-owned wines and spirits retail company in the Philippines, established in 1975 by the Joseph brothers. We offer a collection of blockbuster brands from some of the planet's top vineyards, distilleries, and breweries complemented with professional and personalized service with fifteen bottle shops in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Boracay Island, Subic, and Clark and still growing.
Ralph's Wines & Spirits is looking for an experienced General Accountant to perform accounting tasks for our 15 retail wine shops. The General Accountant will work alongside the Operations Manager in overseeing and executing the accounting responsibilities and activities for the operations of the business. We are looking for a consummate professional and detail-oriented individual.
Requirements and Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
· 2-3 years experience working in accounting
· CPA is an added advantage
· Deadline-Oriented and Time Management
· 1-2 years of QuickBooks Enterprise or similar electronic accounting software experience
· Knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
· Highly proficient in Excel and Word applications
· Ability to problem-solve and take initiative to resolve issues
· Excellent English Communication skills both verbal and written
· Exceptional follow-through skills
· Ability to meet deadlines
· Must be willing to work in Pasay
Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare/Check attach documents by scrutinizing and verifying that all required attachments have been supplied before process payments.
· Post business transactions into Quick Book on a daily basis.
· Prepare consolidated monthly financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information for all branches.
· Prepare the monthly payroll.
· Prepare monthly closing schedules.
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
· Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts on a monthly basis.
· Checking all the reports, vouchers, and documents coming from different branches.
· Monitor account reconciliation and tax calculations.
· Assist in conducting inventory audit.
· Prepare monthly BIR reports.
· Checking and answering emails and messages from management, suppliers, stores, and employees.
