Job Overview:
General Accountant is responsible for the analysis and accomplishment of the general accounting transactions of the three companies (shared services), includes checking and monitoring of company expenses, analyzing profitability and preparing the company budget. Further, responsible in providing vital information, insights and recommendations for the company's finances.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, employers benefit costs, accruals and other expenses.
Established and enforces proper accounting method, practices and principles for both payables and receivables.
Monitors compliance to local laws and reporting requirements of government agencies.
Financial Statements Preparation (Profit and Loss, Financial Position, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet) in accordance with the accounting principles.
Prepare process and analyze the Tax Returns in conformity with the ruling of the Bureau of Internal Revenue
Prepares journal vouchers for transactions, events, adjustments and corrections to reflect accurate balances of accounts.
Conducts month - end closing procedure of books of accounts.
Leads the annual budget preparation and control process.
Determine and develop strategies that will aid the company to save costs.
Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable and receivable and ensure that personnel liquidations and reimbursements are accurate.
Responsible for the creation of reports such as but not limited to:
Financial Statement
Income Statement/Income tax planning
Alphalist:
Expense budget report.
Withholding taxes, vat returns
Cash flow statement:
Monthly budget vs actual expense comparison:
Conserve and protect the confidentiality of any accounting data.
Perform other work-related tasks that may delegated from time-to-time
Educational Requirements
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accountancy or any business course preferably CPA.
Knowledgeable in MS Office especially Microsoft excel.
Knowledge in basic taxation is a plus.
Experience Requirements
At least with (2) years solid experience in accounting/finance is required for this position.
Experience in handling BIR LOA.
Good communication skills.
Highly organized, analytical and keen to details.
Pro-active and flexible.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
