Job Summary
The General Accountant (Maternity Reliever) is responsible for handling end to end general accounting functions. These includes timely and accurate submission of management reports such as
Operating Income Statement (OIS) reporting with variance analysis
Trial Balance supported with Accounts Reconciliation Analysis (ARA) schedules
draft Financial Statement (FS) during year-end external audit.
Supervise the Team in performing financial book closing activities.
Review working paper and adjusting journal entries.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the books of the Company by analyzing all transactions posted into the system.
The position will conceptualize and implement special projects in terms of financial analysis from revenue and costs perspective and develop tools to enhance closing processes.
Liaised and work with external auditors in completing the statutory reporting requirements.
Assist the Reporting and Compliance Manager in overseeing the general accounting team of Controllership- International and ensuring the timely and accurate compliance with requirements of the origins both for internal and external customers
Job Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
Preferably CPA
Knowledge of IAS/IFRS
Proficient in SAP.
Preferably with background in international accounting/taxation - VAT, WHT and IT (ME, AsiaPacific and Europe)
Knowledge of finance and accounting.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Expert level of proficiency with Excel, Word, and other financial reporting tool
Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data.
