Job Description
Division: Weir ESCO
Location: Unit B, 20F The JMT Corporate Condominium, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City

Purpose of Role: This Design Engineer role will support the engineering group to expand the part design and tool/mold capacity. We need engineers who will use their creativity to develop our next-generation solutions to support our strategies. Weir uses many world-class engineering tools and software to develop products.

Key Responsibilities:
Product design: Generate innovative ideas and product solutions to deliver product designs that meet quality and performance targets
Tool/Mold Design: Develop new pattern tooling/molding design concepts in 3D CAD and predict their effectiveness using computational methods and simulation software. Document and leverage learning into future designs
Collaboration: Collaborate with Global Product Engineering team members, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers in design conceptualization, trials, and lab testing to visualize, develop, and maintain new ways of working ensure products meet quality requirements and are completed on schedule
Continuous Improvement: Utilize standard development processes and standard work Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) with 4 years of design experience in the mining or construction industry,
Experience in new product development and engineering analysis with an understanding of and interest in material science and manufacturing processes
System experience with complex 3D parametric CAD advance modeling experience (NX preferred),
Understanding of engineering software and analysis tools (Agile PLM, FEA, Magma Simulation)
