Description:
The DFSC SAP Functional Analyst - Finance provides the 2nd level support and primary contact for a standard to medium complexity applications in production. The role also ensures continuous smooth operation of assigned production applications and fulfills ad-hoc request.
Key Responsibilities:
Handles problem isolation and issue resolution for minor to medium complexity applications
Carries out agreed maintenance tasks
Work closely with other teams such as developers and technical engineers for the resolution of identified issues.
Monitors application performance, obtain performance statistics and alert teams to make recommendations for improvement
Assists in the handling of complex application systems in production
Form part of the level 2 SAP support team.
Comply with level 2 support processes and procedures.
Interact with level 1 support and service management teams within the country where SAP has been deployed.
Interact with Group organizations across the company footprint.
Analyze tickets in line with Target Operating Model configuration and recommend changes where required; escalate to Level 3 support when necessary.
Document TO-BE business process aligned to Business Target Operating Model and standard SAP application functionality.
Document functional application configurations.
Document functional enhancement to SAP, inclusive of Screens, Interfaces, and Reports. This must be completed while adhering to the Company Change Request process.
Interact with development resources to ensure compliance with functional designs
Prepare test scenario's and scripts to be used through the application testing cycle.
Support application, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
Review of application training materials
Key Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or
Master's Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology
or equivalent * With at least 4 years of solid SAP FI-CO related work experience
Knowledgeable in computer concepts and functionalities.
Proficient in Microsoft office.
Knowledgeable and understands computer concepts in Windows.
Knowledgeable and understands computer concepts in UNIX/LINUX.
Good understanding of SAP area is essential.
