Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design and development of React Components, Pages and APIs for client's products
Design and development of serverless functions essential for day-to-day operations of client's products
Development of integrated testing suites
Help create and refine development and documentation procedures and standards
Assist with creation of user stories and similar business analyst tasks
Provide SME-level support to delivery and support divisions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering (preferred, otherwise should have solid previous experience in web development)
2+ years experience in building websites in React.js, and Node.js (Essential)
1+ years experience using Next.js and similar frameworks (Essential)
1+ years experience using Firebase and similar NoSQL databases (Essential)
Knowledge and experience in testing tools such as Jest and Enzyme (Essential)
Knowledge in Javascript (i.e. Promises, async/await, etc.) (Essential)
Knowledge in performance optimisation (e.g. how to analyse Javascript bundles, use Lighthouse, etc.) (Essential)
2+ years experience in building scalable back-end architectures, cloud functions and microservices using Node.js (Essential)
Knowledge in Google Cloud products & serverless architecture (such as BigQuery, Cloud Functions, etc.) (preferred, not essential)
Knowledge/Experience in Redis & similar cache (preferred, not essential)
