JOB SUMMARY
The Front Office Associate is responsible with answering and attending to internal and external phone calls, emails and queries of guests inquiring in Holiday Inn Express.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Print daily reports as reference for the day's activities such as arrival list, departure list, in-house guest list, VIP list, guest traces and others
Read the endorsement logbook and attend briefing before shifts
Check applicable room rates and promos to be offered for the day
Prepare registration collaterals such as registration cards, breakfast coupons, promotional items and guest amenities
Request guests to fill out registration card completely to get personal information for hotel reference
Register guests and assign room to guests
Issue, secure and control issuance of room keys
Work in conjunction with the bell staff to assist guests to their rooms
File, update and store registration cards and its information to the hotel system
File guest receipts to use as reference of charges upon departure
Answer various questions and inquiries from guests
Handle cashiering duties such as checking guest accounts; accept deposits, collect payment, post charges and issue receipts
Process foreign currency exchange for guests
Check guest accounts and identify high balances
Inform guests of high balances and offer pre-settlement
Balance and ensure that credit card settlements for the day are correctly settled
Properly endorse, count, receive or turnover cash float, guest deposits and other monetary items to the next shift
Arrange amenities to be sent to rooms in the absence of a Guest Relation Officer
Make reservations through phone or at the front desk in the absence of a Reservations Agent
Run various reports on the computer for night audit
Perform concierge duties on a situation basis
Act as support group and guide to Bell Service and Telephone Operator
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism or equivalent
Experience as a Front Office Associate in a 3-star-hotel is an advantage
Possesses excellent communication skills
Has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Able to interact with customers of different personalities/nationalities
Can work effectively in a team
Able to build harmonious working relationship with peers and superiors
Adaptable and can handle stressful and high pressure situations
Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite
