FRONT OF THE HOUSE (BOH) TRAINING OFFICER
 
The FOH Training Officer is mainly responsible for identifying and assessing current and future training needs of the FOH Teams, creating training plans and activities with the use of various training approaches and methods that are all aimed at developing the skills and performance of employees. In coordination with the Training Head, he/she is also responsible for monitoring training effectiveness via results produced, managing training costs and budget and being on top of training trends.
 
Job Description:
Assess current and future training needs of FOH employees on the ground, in coordination with the Training Head.
Identify the training needs of FOH employees, create plans and materials that would answer to the training needs perceived.
Conceptualize training activities and implement training and development projects in relation to the goal of the position.
Create a calendar of activities, identify costs and needed budget for training activities.
Conduct effective training programs and learning sessions.
Monitor and evaluate all training programs, projects and activities' effectiveness and success by visiting the stores and observing the people during actual operations.
Apply various training approaches and methods.
Resolve concerns and handle conflicts and other challenges that are related to training.
Maintain a thorough understanding of training trends, developments and be on the lookout for best practices and apply it to the company as necessary.
Be knowledgeable of the standards of the company, the basics about the dining and its operations (service basics, service delivery, dining set up, and the like), and of current updates and news relevant to the dining operations.
Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of experience in training, learning and development, or a related role, preferably within the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
Strong skills in assessing current and future training needs of employees, with the ability to create effective training plans.
Familiarity with various training approaches and methodologies, and the ability to apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing training programs that enhance employee skills and performance.
Ability to monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through observation and feedback, adjusting programs as necessary.
Experience in managing training costs and budgets, with a strategic approach to resource allocation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate employees, fostering a positive learning environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with team members and other departments.
Ability to resolve conflicts and address challenges related to training and development.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring training materials and programs are accurate and relevant.
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in training, with the ability to innovate and implement new ideas effectively.
