As a UI engineer, you'll work with a cross-functional team responsible for building and maintaining the user-facing apps of our Digital Bank. You'll translate UI/UX designs wireframes to actual code that produce visual elements of our applications. You'll use your technical expertise to develop new features or enhance existing ones. You and your team will apply DevOps best practices to ensure systems stability and that our customers have the best experience with our products. In addition, you will also be expected to continue learning and participate in defining & evolving best practices for front end engineering.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of client-side scripting using vanilla JavaScript
Solid understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as Angular 7+ and TypeScript
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and SASS/LESS pre-processors
Good understanding of writing unit tests using tools such as Jasmine or Jest
Experience with GIT source control
Although not required, experience in the following will be highly valued:
NodeJS, NPM and Packaging Tools (Webpack/Grunt/Gulp)
Automated Testing (Cypress / Storybook)
CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins)
Cloud technologies, preferably AWS or GCP or Openshift
