Who you are and what the role is about
Wonders Corporation is looking for a front-end web developer to join our growing engineering team in our Manila office. While having
strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills are a must, the ideal candidate should have extensive experience building interactive web
pages and be able to develop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts. We are a small and growing agile team and you will
play a key role with a lot of responsibilities, so we need folks who are strong independent thinkers, self-motivated, and highly
communicative.
What you will bring
We're looking for developers with strong engineering foundations with the following criteria:
● A passion for working in small agile teams (Scrum)
● A love for finding creative and thoughtful solutions to a variety of technical and product challenges
● A desire to write scalable, efficient, maintainable code
● Experience building robust functionality for commercial websites and applications
● Exceptional problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for tackling diverse development challenges
● Self-learner, independent, and have outstanding problem-solving skills
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field
Requirements
What you have to be considered in the role:
● At least two years of web development experience with the use of JQuery for dynamic applications
● Vanilla JavaScript (ES6)
● Responsive design experience with Bootstrap
● Advanced understanding of AJAX techniques, REST and JSON
● Advanced debugging skills using various debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome Web Development Tool
● Familiar with Object Oriented Design
● Experience working with Git distributed source code
● Desire to keep up with the latest web technologies
● Able to work on night shift (starts within 5PM - 11PM Manila Time)
Bonus points/Nice to have:
● UI/UX skills (A portfolio to showcase of your work a plus)
● SASS or LESS knowledge
● Experience using Node Package Manager (npm)
