• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Guest service agents answer telephone calls from guests seeking to make or cancel hotel reservations.
• They greet arriving guest, assign rooms, issue keys, and collect guest payment and billing information.
• Agents answer guest requests for assistance and coordinate with housekeeping staff and management to fulfill guest requirements.
• They provide guests with access to hotel services, and ensure that mail, faxes and packages are delivered in a timely manner.
• Agents also deal with irate guests and find ways to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
• They may also serve as concierges, assisting guests with ground transportation, restaurant or entertainment reservations, and providing other information about the locale.
• Agents may also be responsible for bookkeeping duties, including maintaining a cash drawer, preparing bank deposits and posting charges for items that guests may order or use during their stay.
• Upon checkout, agents calculate the guest's final bill and collect payments.
• Always greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests.
• Perform accurate check-ins and check-outs of guests daily.
• Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner.
• Make reservations over the phone and in person.
• Run daily reports to check reservations for accuracy and identify any special requests.
• Responsible for a cash float throughout your shift and ensuring it balances correctly at the end of shift.
• Anticipate and address guest's service needs, listen to guest's complaints or concerns and resolve their issue in a timely manner.
• Promote a safe working environment.
• Learn and adhere to all fire and emergency procedures, including procedures for handling of the fire panel, ensuring guest safety and participate in an evacuation if necessary.
• Practice safe working habits, including bending and lifting appropriately to avoid injury, reporting hazards, appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and working to minimize tripping hazards
• To give outstanding services to the guests that have checked in and greet them in a friendly manner and interact with them in a positive way
• To maintain up to date knowledge on the current services that are being offered and make sure that this information is conveyed to the customers in an effective way
• To ensure that the rooms have been allocated properly, hand over the keys to them and ensure that all the registration and check in procedures have been followed as per the given standards
• To enter all the relevant guest related information, so that it can be retrieved in case there is a requirement, and to maintain and update the accounts and post them accurately
• To ensure Daily Departmental Briefing is carried out and completed.
• Disseminate room changes, transfers and additional arrival to all concerned departments.
• Execute upselling at the Front Desk.
• Assist boutique attendant in promoting TF products.
