We want to empower Filipinos to design anything. We use our social media channels to support our users in all sorts of ways by creating and sharing content that will educate, inspire, and entertain our audience on a daily basis. The Canva team wants to work with talented designers to create a new benchmark for fresh, high-quality design content. We want to make Canva truly local for Filipinos with social media posts that inform and empower our audience - and to do that, we need the help of talented designers that can create amazing content.
About the Project
Canva is on a mission to democratise design through the localisation of our products -- and one of the ways we're doing that is by making sure our social media and other channels reflect our growing, diverse library of high-quality, locally bespoke content. Aside from thousands of professionally designed layouts, Canva is also home to millions of vectors for our users to use in their designs. Vectors play a big part in creating good design. Thousands of new vectors are uploaded in the Canva library every week to ensure we are regularly providing fresh and diverse content for our users.
We need a range of fresh, varied, and beautiful designs that make Canva truly local for Filipinos - so we're after self-motivated illustrations who can contribute to and help turn our local creative campaigns to reality. We're interested in engaging illustrations on a 1-2 month project, with the opportunity of extending our relationship to ongoing, regular design work. You'll be creating a multitude of bespoke assets (like icons, vectors, illustrations, backgrounds) for local campaigns.
What you'll do...
Produce illustrations in different styles with high technique and quality while meeting user needs
Produce illustrations in line with the brief given by the creative lead
Curate graphic collections for current design trends
We'd love it if you...
Have illustration, animation, or graphic design experience (illustrator, graphic designer, animator, multimedia arts)
Have a strong eye and passion for and experience creating illustrations with style variation
Have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of illustration (visual and technical style)
Have proven ability to select highly relevant, usable illustrations with high quality and techniqueHave online portfolio with illustration samples
Are skilled with Adobe Illustrator (Adobe Animate is a plus)
Are BIR-registeredHave these equipments: Computer/Laptop (with hi-res screen preferrable) and high-speed internet
