For the culturally curious. We seek a passionate, resourceful, self-starter who can provide art direction for our homes. Our curator should be a keen cultural entrepreneur keen on encouraging cultural production and developing Figment's artisanal 'farm-to-table' model for the arts. This curator will be passionate about making a lasting impact in their local arts scene by exploring unconventional means, such as Figment's platform model of applying 15% of rental proceeds to support local artists. Learn more about us at www.figment.live Responsibilities: Provides Art Direction for Art Houses Sourcing, curating and proposing emerging local contemporary artists for Figment's representation Negotiating with artists for purchase of artworks Managing transportation and installation of artworks Cataloguing and managing the Figment Collection of Artworks Requirements: Arts background (Curatorial or Studio / Fine Art preferred) Extensive and well-developed social network in the local arts scene Detail-oriented, Independent self-starter Strong commercial sense (which includes budgeting) and knowledge of marketing is a plus. Experience with curating independent shows. Passion and understanding for what Figment does with heritage homes Must have strong verbal and written communication skills (English) Exceptional organizational and project management skills Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy Expected salary: SGD250-400 per Exhibition or Hourly Equivalent.
