To support and maximise the growth in profitability of Entain by providing effective day to day trading and management of positions and liabilities for the company across all channels. The role has a critical impact on Entain Trading results.
Combining Betting/Football knowledge, Feed management and Market awareness Trader will maintain the Football product in accordance to risk guidelines and group strategy
What you'll be doing:
Ensure flexibility within the role - remain adaptable to pricing, trading and market driver awareness.
Delivery of product, specifically the production and trading of prices for events, across all channels
Trade a high volume of events using automated odds models and manage market risk in accordance with liability management protocols and market conditions
Ensure the Entain Football product is maintained in line with strategy
Monitor betting markets and customer betting patterns in real time
Monitor prices and control liabilities
Generate specialised markets and prices.
Identify betting trends supported by statistical data and pass information to Senior members of the team / management.
Maintain internal relationships with Marketing, PR and the Content teams to maximize publicity opportunities and engagement with the media and social media.
Monitor and identify customer behaviour annotating where appropriate and liaise with Sportsbook, profiling, responsible gambling and compliance teams in line with trading strategy.
Resolve technical and operational incidents in real time and escalate where appropriate.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure accuracy of pricing and event management in line with group strategy.
Develop and maintain key relationships with other Traders, Senior Traders, Operational managers and Heads of Trading functions.
Adhere to risk management guidelines.
Identify and/or report technical deficiencies to Operational Manager / Head of Football.
Communicate any issues encountered in-real time to management and Trading Support.
Ensure active and effective communication with internal Marketing, PR and Retail teams for maximum exposure of Entain prices.
Identify improvements to trading applications and capabilities.
Implement new ideas around all product markets and technology to improve performance, profitability, competitive advantage and customer experience
Monitor down-streams ensuring optimal product presentation, escalating where required.
What we need from you:
Previous odds compilation or trading experience.
Ability to adapt skill set to ensure success of top line strategy.
Use of algorithm-based trading applications.
In-depth knowledge of Football.
Highly numerate with a solid grasp on numbers, odds and their significance.
Ability to overcome technological difficulties calmly whilst demonstrating a positive outcome mentality.
Flexibility around working times (including unsociable hours/weekends)
Strong time keeping.
High attention to detail.
Strong communications skills.
Team player that encourages and supports all other members of the team.
Critical thinker.
