Job Description
Flutter Developer with experience in developing and maintaining modern mobile applications.
Experience in modern application frameworks and cloud service architecture is essential.
We understand you may not have experience in the exact stack we're working with, but you will need to have a solid understanding of the various tools, frameworks, and principles that will allow you to apply your knowledge to adapt to working with, and improving our current platform.
Deliver high-quality software that is thoroughly tested and optimised
Build software solutions from requirements when we have them or help architect solutions when we do not
Provide maintenance and enhancements to the existing code base
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our platform design and toolchain
Maintain automated testing and delivery
Embrace rapid learning and show a willingness to work with technologies and languages you are or are not familiar with
Qualifications
At least 1-year developing Flutter applications for mobile.
2-3 years in mobile software development using Native (Swift/Objective C or
Java/Kotlin) or Asynchronous/Reactive Frameworks (Flutter, React Native, Xamarin)
Experience integrating and working closely with BaaS platforms - Firebase(preferred), Amplify, etc.
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Understanding of the Agile development life-cycle
Experience with automated testing and associated development and process
Experience with Git, SVN, or other version control tools;
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and implementation using common Design Patterns (Strategy, Factory, Builder, Composite, etc)
Proven experience in writing readable code, creating extensive documentation for existing code and refactoring previously written code
Exposure to state management libraries (Bloc, Provider, Flux)
Excellent problem identification, analysis, and solving skills; an innate ability to utilise all resources at your disposal to find a creative solution to a problem, whether business/functional or technical in nature.
BSc/BEng degree in Computer Science or further education within the field is preferred but not required if you have a good grasp of software development and design principles.
Hands-on experience with essential project tools (Bitbucket/Github, Confluence, Jira, etc.)
An interest in relevant emerging technologies.
Nice to have
At least one iOS or Android app developed using either Native toolsets or Flutter.
Either deployed on the AppStore/Google Play or available on Github.
Experience using Docker, container-based development and associated orchestration tooling.
Experience using Infrastructure as Code platforms (Serverless, Terraform, SAM, etc)
Experience with CI/CD tools for automated deployment. (Bitrise, CircleCI, Jenkins, Fastlane, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc).
Experience working with modern mobile frameworks - Flutter and/or React Native ideally.
Experience developing and working with event-driven serverless platforms (Lambda, Cloud Functions, Heroku)
