Role OverviewThe Floor Plan Designer II manages end-to-end floor plan projects with moderate complexity. This role requires problem-solving skills, creativity in optimizing layouts, and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently create, manage, and finalize floor plans for small to mid-scale events.Optimize layouts for attendee experience, traffic flow, and exhibitor visibility.Coordinate with sales, operations, and venue teams to ensure requirements are captured and met.Provide input on design improvements, technical feasibility, and event space utilization.Conduct site checks or virtual walkthroughs to validate layouts.Train and mentor Level 1 designers on tools, processes, and best practices.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or related field.2-4 years of experience in event/exhibition floor planning or related design work.Strong CAD proficiency with ability to produce accurate and detailed layouts.Knowledge of venue specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.Competency DifferentiatorsTechnical Skills: Produces complete, accurate layouts with minimal oversight; introduces improvements in design processes.Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Resolves moderately complex layout challenges, balancing requirements and constraints.Collaboration & Communication: Acts as main point of contact with mid-level stakeholders; communicates effectively across teams.Leadership & Development: Mentors junior staff; begins developing coaching and project ownership skills.We are committed to providing a fair and accessible hiring process.
