About the Role
To fulfill the fixed income trading requirements and execute the liquidity management strategies of the various Philam Group portfolios. Provide portfolio managers with advice and asset allocation strategies to support investment decisions in fixed income instruments.
Achieve best execution for all fixed income transactions
Fulfill all the requirements in applicable policies and procedures
Prepare trade related reports in a timely manner to related parties
Conduct high quality market analysis and provide updates on trading flows to the Portfolio Managers
Manage the Philam Group's Philippine Peso and US Dollar liquidity portfolios. These responsibilities include:
Optimize liquidity positions with the objective of maximizing short-term investment returns and minimizing daily account balances
Coordinate with other Philam Life departments and affiliates on their respective fundingrequirements, and ensure that appropriate funding is provided
Coordinate with Investment Operations to ensure proper settlement of all investment transactions
Ensure all money market transactions are in compliance with both internal and external limits and regulations
Maintain and further improve business relationships with other market participants and Philam Group counterparties
Facilitate on-boarding and other KYC requirements of current and prospective counterparties.
Perform other responsibilities and duties as may be periodically assigned
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or another other 4-year related course
Post-graduate studies, such as MBA, CFA, TIFP, etc. an advantage, but not a requirement
Relevant experience is an advantage, but not a requirement for the position
Strong analytical skills
Strong written or oral communication skills
Working knowledge, interest, and understanding of the financial markets
Proficiency in operating Bloomberg terminal an advantage, but not a requirement
