FinOps Team Leader
Permanent position, direct-hire by the client
Hybrid of work from home and onsite in Ortigas
Role Context
The Manila FinOps Team Leader plays a pivotal role in leading a team that generates proactive insights and recommendations about customer cloud environments and creates monthly reports. These proactive insights and recommendations form the basis of regular updates in periodic operational review sessions provided by frontline CMND staff, and underpin the baseline services expected by customers, keeping them updated and happy.
The FinOps Team Leader leads a small team that will scale with time to support the needs of CMND. The FinOps Team Leader will:
Direct the Manila FinOps team under guidance from CMND and the broader Australian MCS team.
Proactively build working relationships with the Australian CMND manager and the broader Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and Personal Customer Technical Officer (PCTO) community.
Track and routinely ensure all deliverables and executables are performed on time by all team members.
Proactively update work instructions and service deliverables in our internal knowledgebase, ensuring they are up to date as they may change with time.
Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates and dashboards to communicate insights and progress relating to customer cloud environments.
Run monthly analysis and maintenance tasks against a minimum set of customer cloud environments each month:
o Collaborate with CMND to understand business requirements and align insights with the organization's goals and objectives.
Gather data and perform comprehensive analysis to identify areas for improvement, potential risks, and optimisation opportunities within the cloud environment.
Produce standardised reports containing recommendations and insights relating to the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), ready for consumption by our frontline CMND team and ready for delivery to customers.
Work with the MCS Product, Architecture and Devops teams to suggestions regarding the automated extraction of data from systems and population into automated reporting to speed up the delivery of proactive work deliverables for customers.
Execute individual prescribed proactive work items on behalf of CMND and the customer, for example the implementation of cost saving measures in public cloud.
The FinOps Team Leader will have a sense of urgency about achieving goals, attention to detail, influencing skills and customer focus. The Team Leader will possess a desire to continuously learn and improve themselves and the team, and have a natural curiosity inclusive of, but not limited to cloud technologies.
