Job Description
Handles core entities' financial reporting, general accounting & compliance by preparing monthly and quarterly reports, investigating key drivers for variances & fluctuations, providing analytical insight, monitoring and improving the current financial process place.
Financial Reporting
Manages monthly closing of books of accounts in compliance with financial reporting timelines
Overall responsibility for the completion of financial statement package for assigned reporting entity/ies including collation of inputs for period-to-period analysis on significant balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
Prepares the annual financial statements for assigned reporting entity/ies
Manage end-to-end accounting function for assigned reporting entity/ies and consortium
General Accounting
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of journal entries for accrued expenses and prepayments, among others
Reviews monthly schedules and reports prepared by manages services (MS) team and prepares account schedules and analysis for assigned accounts
Support the Human Resources (HR) team as Business Partner specifically for accounting of manpower-related transactions (e.g., transactions review, process and controls review and assessment including proposal of improvements to process gaps)
Compliance
Preparation of various reportorial requirements submitted to government agencies such as the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and Securities and Exchange Commision (SEC)
Assist the external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual financial statements audit
Others
Responsible for the continuous enhancement of accounting processes & controls. Point person in the various automation projects.
Promotes a productive team environment by driving and tracking performance, encouraging them to offer ideas and provides assistance only when needed. Influences behaviors of team members towards having a positive work attitude.
