Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of relevant, accurate and quality financial reporting/ data with quality analysis to address the requirements of various stakeholders for both AIA PH and BPI-AIA PH.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversees the financial planning and budget process of AIA PH, BPI-AIA PH, and subsidiaries, in close coordination with Profit Center/ Distribution Channel Heads, Actuarial, Investments, Office Heads and Affiliates
Leads annual planning/ budgeting and forecasting process for GOE (General Operating Expenses) and CapEx (Capital Expenditure) for AIA PH and BPI-AIA PH
Acts as a partner and key contact to AIA PH Operations, IT, HR and Agency Divisions in managing their respective GOE, analyzing actual GOE levels vs. budget and prior year, preparing GOE forecast, and identifying possible areas for GOE savings
Ensures achievement of FS close deadlines of GOE and CapEx-related reports and information, including reports of AIA PH GOE monitoring to ensure that GOE per Division is within budget and aligned with ANP achievement
Manages all GOE analyses, providing deep-dive analysis on data/ trends to support report requirements for management of GOE
Ensures appropriate internal controls over GOE and CapEx reporting processes and evaluate significant accounting issues and implement GOE reporting policy setting based on guidelines set by Group Office
Supports key strategic initiatives in managing GOE and growing OPAT through monthly GOE monitoring
Performs monthly forecasting and analysis for AIA PH, BPI-AIA PH, and Consolidated for GOE
Supports monthly and quarterly IFRS Close for AIA PH, BPI-AIA PH, and Consolidated results
Monitors monthly and quarterly financial performance including analysis of operating results in comparison to budget/ plan, latest forecast and prior period
Reviews and signs off on various AIA financial reporting requirements (IFRS templates, BS reconciliations, etc.)
Identifies/ sets developmental requirements of the team members, performance goals and provides coaching/ mentoring in day-to-day work and reviewing job assignments of each member to ensure optimum efficiencies
Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/ or other requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education - Must possess Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree
Experience - At least seven (7) years audit experience with any of the big 4 audit firms (Navarro Amper & Co., Isla Lipana & Co., Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co. and Manabat San Agustin & Co) or experience in financial reporting/budgeting/financial analysis with any of the top 10 life insurance companies in the Philippines
Certifications/licenses - Certified Public Accountant
Special skills - Has knowledge and experience in IFRS/ PFRS proficient in MS Office applications has advanced knowledge in SAP, Business Intelligence, with good command in English (both oral and written)
