Primary Responsibilities
Oversees the Finance activities of commercial entities - SGS Philippines Inc., SGS Subic Bay Inc. and SGS Guam Inc. including the financial reporting and analysis of commercial entities in compliance to set standards that includes but not limited to SGS group reporting standards, Head Office reporting, generally accepted accounting principles and local statutory reporting requirements
Supervises and manages a range of matrix of personnel in Shared Services for the various Accounting Related Transactional work including P2P, OTC and RTR (6 FTE).
Responsible for Business Partnering, Finance & Regulatory Reporting, and Head Office Reporting. The Finance Manager will assist and support the CFO across a variety of tasks including evaluation of Capex Investment Acquisition request from the business units, Budget Control and Forecasting, Business Units Variance Analysis and Activity Analysis.
Manages the performance (KPI), coaching and development of the staff
Specific Responsibilities
Financial Reporting - SGS Philippines Inc., SGS Subic Bay Inc. and SGS Guam Inc.
Supervise the day-to-day operations of finance.
Responsible for financial and regulatory reporting.
Responsible for management reporting, local and regional reporting
Acts as a business partner in providing financial analyses.
Reviews company financial policies and guidelines and provides recommendation in amending existing policies and/or formulating new policies to ensure compliance with evolving changes in regulations.
Provide advice to the Business Partners on the best solutions to a given problem and guidance to the team when needed.
People Management
Coach, motivate, challenge, develop and recognize individuals on a continuous basis. Enables an inclusive and Orange code culture where everyone gives their best to the organization and each other.
Fosters collaboration in the team and with other teams. Understands the benefits of collaboration for achieving results and can work with others and influence people.
Know how to have the right people at the right time at the right place, which means anticipating on the attrition via active succession planning in the team and by hiring new staff.
Is living and breathing the Orange code. Owns actions and outcomes. Delegates frequently and effectively yet is still responsible for the overall agenda.
Knowledge Management
Develops awareness of accounting processes.
Ensure the knowledge of accounting processes and policies is recognized and documented in work instructions and procedures. Instructs and supports others in this area.
Trains junior and new senior staff. Provides feedback to CFO on the work performance of new joiners. Capable to act as POC when the CFO is absent.
Service Delivery
Is first point of contact for escalations and knows how to solve the problems. Knows when to upscale escalations in case of complex/high risk issues and has excellent communications skills to explain problems/exceptions when escalation is needed.
Process Improvement
Identifies and implements improvements. Make sure parties involved are kept informed about improvements.
Organizational Management
Understands the different organization structures and types of reporting lines (formal, informal, hierarchical, product & function, geographical) adapts accordingly.
Realizes changes relating to policy implementation and continuously improves services at team level.
Operations Management
Understands, maintains and actively uses a comprehensive set of measures that are required to manage the team.

Qualifications
Must be a Certified Public Accountant/MBA with 10 years of experience
Minimum of 10 years managerial experience in Finance / Accounting
With meaningful experience in Treasury, Tax & Statutory Reporting and Financial Reporting
