Job Purpose:
Responsible for the preparation, completion and implementation of local financial plans of the company as aligned to FWD Strategic framework, and ensure that those financial plans are consistent with relevant Accounting Standards (Philippine Financial Reporting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards and Regulatory Accounting Principles) and taxation (both local and applicable tax treaties).
Evaluate and analyze the financial impact of various initiatives, including strategic and department-specific projects and provide recommendation thereof.
Ensure compliance on the strategic and tactical direction of the Group by completing the Group Management reporting requirements by consistently following the Group management reporting guidelines.
Creation and automation of Financial Accounting reports, Investment and Actuarial Valuation in consideration of the statutory Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) requirements that can aid in business-decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the timely completion of short-term and long-term financial plans of the company by ensuring that those financial plans are consistent to the strategic intent and tactical plans of both the Group and local management.
Provide valuable insights from the quarterly and annual financial forecast and progress of the strategic and tactical plans of the company, and recommend ways and means to achieve the Company KPIs and targeted operating results and financial condition of the company. All these to be considered in the capital position of the company in relation to Insurance Commission's Net Worth and Risk-based Capital requirements.
Generate and analyze the monthly and quarterly management reporting requirements by the Group Office and local management that will aid in business-decision making.
Provide valuable insights on the submitted CARs (Commitment Approval Requests) in relation to budget and forecast figures in terms of Accounting and Taxation, and make recommendations to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Finance Controller (FC) and Head of Financial Planning, Controls and Analysis. CAR includes strategic projects and tactical initiatives of the company e.g. IT system development, Marketing and Advertising, opening of branches to strategic locations, and other strategic objectives of the company.
Prepare and provide analysis of quarterly Board and Committee materials for the CFO.
Document/update processes relevant to the finance planning/ budget/ expense management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, economics and any other related fields.
Preferably Certified Public Accountant
With minimum of three years experience in management reporting and Accounting in a Life Insurance Industry
Experience in project management
Proficient in MS word, excel and other tools used in reporting
Able to undertake projects systematically
Must have understanding of the overall flow of business from application to policy transactions during the life of the policy
Experience in developing and delivering presentations at executive levels.
Must be willing to work in BGC, Taguig
