Financial Operations Manager
Job Description
Oversee, track, and evaluate day-to-day financial activities
Ensure adherence to the invoicing procedures and manage invoicing by making sure fees are correctly billed against the statement of work/contract and/or purchase order
Resolve complex invoicing issues; identify invoicing issues/risks and escalate as necessary
Implement quality assurance for all invoicing-related processes
Streamline and improve processes as needed, roll out and train on process improvements
Define, design, and document invoicing and other financial activities flows and processes
Record/track all action items, lead the team on working on action items and bring to closure
Provide support and collaborate with the business development, operations, proposals & contracts, and project coordination teams whenever necessary
Ensure all invoices from vendors and contractors are accurate based on agreed upon terms
Manage and QC payroll including onboarding, changes and terminations
Review and negotiate vendor agreements including pricing and financial terms
Provide financial review and support of client agreements including financial terms and pricing questions
Work with corporate accounting department on month end close, manage close activities for division including review and input into accruals and deferrals
Willingness to flex hours to work with colleagues in other time zones #LI-BE1
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience
2 years people management experience
In-depth experience in accounting, project finance, and financial reporting
Excellent English communication skills (verbal/written)
Desirable skills
CPA and/or CMA license
Strong leadership skills
Excellent coordination, administrative, and collaborative skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Sense of urgency and strong follow-up skills
Interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
Ability to quickly grasp technology and processes
Excellent PC-based computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Accounting/finance and project management software applications, including NetSuite, Salesforce, Mavenlink, etc.
