An exciting Financial Controller job based in Makati, Manila has just become available in a leading multinational company specialising in health and beauty.
About the Financial Controller Role:
The Financial Controller heads up the day-to-day financial activities including the preparation of month-end accounts, VAT and other tax returns, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, audits and year-end statutory accounts. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller ensures the accuracy and integrity of the recording and reporting of transactions that make up the financials of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures all financial and tax reporting (statutory and management) are timely, accurate and in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirement, and internal regional/global reporting guidelines.The quality, accuracy, timeliness and financial relevance of the statutory and management information on various levels
Oversees maintenance of all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with Local and US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets and Treasury)
Ensures an effective internal control environment and 100% compliance for SOX requirements. Drives compliance with internal controls and financial and accounting and GM policies. Prepares policy exception requests to regional/global team with proper justification based on facts to facilitate approval process. Acts as primary liaison for all internal audit
Manages the company balance sheet, cashflows and liquidity. Conducts periodic reviews of monthly, quarterly or yearly management accounts and ensure timely reconciliation. Ensures all financial transaction executions and processes are efficient, timely and accurate
Ensures compliance to external/statutory financial and tax regulations of the country. Acts as the primary liaison for all external audits; leads the preparation and submission of all required audit information
Develop a high-potential team that is technically excellent with strong leadership skills through actionable career development plans and objectives
To succeed in this Financial Controller role, you must have at least 15 years' experience in Finance with seven years in a financial controllership role with a multinational organisation.

Finance/Accounting graduate or MBA is beneficial
