About The Role
Role Location: 12F Solaris One Building Dela Rosa St. Makati City
Role Type: Full-time permanent role
Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to
Your role as Financial Control Associate, Markets & Treasury Financial Control supports the financial management of the Markets & Treasury portfolio wide financial control outcomes and looks at financial reporting processes (from month end close up to data reporting) that impact multiple global business units with principal general accountabilities being:
Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
Implementation and monitoring of the Group's accounting policies and internal control frameworks
Integrity of the numbers by delivering accurate, reliable and timely financial information
Driving Future of Finance simplification agenda, ensuring consistency with objectives and a focus on continuous improvement
Embedding a robust governance culture
Markets centralised data sourcing, accounting and reporting services at a divisional level
Support the implementation and ownership of centralised, standardised processes and controls within Markets and Treasury Financial Control and APRA Regulatory Reporting CoE
Accurate and timely delivery of standardised outputs to country that are flexible enough to meet month-end delivery requirements, regulatory reporting requirements, registers, schedules, reconciliations, trial balance, and ensuring accounting services are completed to support financial reporting and successful audit completion
Support the BU change agenda, including Elimination/Simplification/Automation of relevant financial control activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
A Bachelors' university degree, preferably a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Markets and Treasury product knowledge gathered through either in the Markets risk, Markets front office or Markets finance, understanding of liquidity measures and models/funding approach/booking models, strong accounting knowledge of financial instruments/derivative accounting standards, APRA measurement standards, automation skills (Alteryx, Qlik)
Solid working knowledge of financial control within a financial services environment
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Experience in presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions to stakeholders
