Job Descriptions
Advise the company on the tax implications of transactions giving rise to various receipts as well as certain payments of expenses in connection with the Company's line of business;
Advise the Company from time to time of recent tax decisions and rulings affecting the Company's business operation;
Manage the functionality of each staff in the Accounting Department; delegate tasks and monitor their work progress to meet deadlines and departmental goals;
Contribute in meeting corporate & departmental objectives by leading the Accounting department in understanding and adhering to processes, as well as by following work guidelines
Oversee and checking all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition;
Provide in-depth financial analysis and expert financial perspective and opinions to the management to assist in assessing efficiencies and risks;
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances;
Preparation and submission of monthly government dues, VAT, EWT, WT Compensation, Quarterly income tax, and submission of alphalist and relief;
Prepare and publish timely monthly in-house financial statements and BIR Reporting;
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting;
Research technical accounting issues for compliance;
Support month-end and year-end close process;
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
Manage and comply with local and national government reporting requirements and tax filings;
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
Evaluate and manage the performance of staff; and,
Identify and address staff training and coaching needs.
Job Qualifications
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Work experience as an Accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
