Job Description
Develop a detailed understanding of GM's processes and systems in order to identify both control gaps and any opportunities to streamline processes and controls.
Be able to help assess risk and provide audit support to the larger financial assurance team when necessary, including assessing control deficiencies.
Prepare and update documentation including process flowcharts, risk assessments, user training materials, program guidance/procedures, and report outs.
Partner with external auditors to ensure alignment on the audit.
Design and partner with IT to implement system solutions based on requirements
Develop and present data solutions/reports to other members of the organization
Solve problems and develop new/enhanced control procedures to streamline existing business processes
Recommend types of automations, analytics, and data processing approaches to apply to meet the team's objectives.
Understand data structure, data interfaces and how data flows from source systems to the tools used for reporting.
Implement new technologies to support data analytics, dashboarding, enhanced control environment, and take work out initiatives.
Select the best technology for approved solutions (e.g., Power BI, KNIME, Data Visualization, Robotics Process Automation)
Build effective working relationships with business partners across the organization.
Completes special assignments as required.
Work with a high level of independent judgment and initiative, while being able to rapidly take on and assimilate work from existing team members when required
Additional Job Description
Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, business administration, information systems, or equivalent experience
2-4 years of experience
CPA - Certified Public Accountant or equivalent (preferred)
Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to plan and prioritize multiple assignments
Audit background (internal or external) with IT Audit experience a plus
Experience with Power BI, KNIME, Microsoft SharePoint, and/or Robotics Process Automation
Experience with SAP, Open Pages, and/or HFM a plus
Passion for innovation and automation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly proficient personal computer skills and technology driven
Excellent team building and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to work and lead with minimal supervision on unstructured assignments
Willing to take on additional responsibilities, attend training, and learn new technical skills
Willingness to work flexible schedules to accommodate various time zones
