I. Job Description
The job of a Financial Analyst_ Government is responsible for the performance of clerical accounting duties and ensures that report requirement submissions to various government agencies are complete, accurate and provided on or before the deadlines. A Financial Analyst_ Government position shall also serve as the primary point of contact for statutory document requirements and coordination with government agencies.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
File and report all tax filing requirements to the Bureau of Internal Revenue such as but not limited to Value Added Tax, Expanded Withholding Tax, Income Tax, withholding tax on compensation, Summary list of sales, summary list of purchases, importation, list of suppliers and annual employee alphabetical list.
Prepare monthly Manual Cash Receipts and Sales Book for the Computation of VAT.
File and report employees' statutory report requirements with the Social Security System, Home Development Mutual Fund and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.
Coordinate with government agencies and instrumentalities, prepare and provide document requirements for various purposes such as but not limited to tax investigations, bidding, business permit renewals, license renewals, property tax renewals, audit etc.
III. Qualifications
A. Minimum Education
Graduate of BS in Accountancy or related courses
B. Minimum Experience/Training
Two years of relevant statutory and government related preparation, filing and reporting experience is preferred.
C. Competency
Attention to detail- is thorough when performing assigned tasks and pays attention to report details.
Dependability- arrives to work, meetings or appointments on time, adheres to schedule and is especially conscientious to meet deadlines.
Oral and written communication- writes in a clear and concise manner and can express self and ideas clearly in conversation or interaction with others.
IV. Working Conditions
Occasional weekday or weekend overtime to meet filing deadlines.
Entry Level / Junior, Apprentice Accounting and Finance Information Technology / IT 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
