Job Description
Financial Planning and Analysis
Analyze financial data and build financial models for decision support
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis (including budget vs. actual), identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
Budgeting and planning - support the Head of Finance in driving both short- and long-term financial planning and budgeting process
Business partnering - collaborate with business managers & teams to understand their business, help them understand their financial drivers and provide business insights
Financial Reporting
Management reporting: assist in the preparation of month-end reports for management review, highlighting key analyses and recommendations
Regulatory reporting: work closely with the outsourced bookkeeper to ensure accurate reporting; drive the yearly audit process with the external auditors
Investor reporting: prepare the key financial information and operational metrics disclosed to investors
Process review: identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
Corporate Finance
Develop financial models to support valuation, capital raising and M&A initiatives
Assist in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes
Conduct comparables analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis and fundraising
Operational Finance
Treasury management: process cash disbursements and forecast weekly cash flows
Receivables management: maintain the client database and ensure services are billed on time
Supplier management: assist in vendor due diligence exercise, providing required financial and company information
Database/dashboard management: maintain up to date company dashboards and database, tracking both key financial and operating metrics
Other Activities
Conduct financial analysis for special projects as required
Any ad hoc tasks needing financial support
Minimum Qualifications
At least 3-4 years' experience in finance or accounting
Consulting, advisory or audit experience from a Big 4 Firm is an advantage
Relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or any related field
CPA, CMA, CFA and any relevant certification is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Excellent financial modelling skills (preferred)
Independent and innovative self-starter
Ability to analyze financial data and communicate insights
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Can work efficiently even under pressure and deadlines
