Job Description
The General Motors Systems COE Team is seeking to identify highly motivated and qualified individuals for potential future opportunities as Financial Analyst. In anticipation of these opportunities becoming available, if you are interested in learning more about GM, completing this profile will allow us to stay connected.
Duties:
- Demonstrate deep functional knowledge, had breadth of experiences to work autonomously on the most complex business issues, may assist Leadership with strategy development
- Proactively analyze business results (vs. forecast, budget and prior year) to identify trends, risks and optimize business results
- Apply financial analysis tools and work experiences to influence current and future profitability (e.g. financial models, business cases, run rate, advanced data analytics)
- Prepare reporting package with insight for monthly operating review and /or Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), anticipating logical questions based on content
- Operate autonomously, where ambiguity and time constraints exist
- Lead the budget and MTP development. Analyze trends to establish bold yet achievable targets
- Lead financial analysis as a member of cross functional teams (e.g. OpEx, new business opportunity)
- Provide coaching / mentorship to new employees / interns
- Effectively communicate financial performance and results of analysis performed to Senior Finance Leadership and key business partners anticipating questions
- Proactively seeks opportunities to grow (e.g. develops new skills, attend training opportunities, network, feedback)

More specifically in the position you will:
Assist with error troubleshooting and resolution
Perform UAT testing for enhancements and process changes
Assist leaders in managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business, and organizational units
Identify and drive process improvements
Build relationships with technology and business management, internal clients, and external stakeholders
Main Areas of Responsibility:
Develop and deliver user trainings to internal (GM) users
Responsible for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during system development and on-going after deployment for system enhancements
Develop system test cases
Execute and document test cases
Provide feedback to system developers
Provide on-going user support for systems users
Must be willing to accommodate global time zone(s) as needed
Communication and Relationships
Excellent English speaking and writing skills
Experience in facilitating trainings / presenting to large audiences (preferred)
Use business acumen when conversing with business team and GMIT
Write change requests for system enhancements or repairs
Communicate with GMIT as needed to communicate system issues

Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to understand, interpret and compare feedback results
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in SAP
