PLDT Inc., is urgently looking for a Financial Analyst (CPA) with extensive experience in the said position.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must have knowledge and interest in financial analysis, financial management and reporting; and/or general accounting procedures and laws; strong numerical and analytical orientatio; excellent time management skills, and confidentiality and discretion in handling data. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA certification is required for this role.
He/she will be based in our PLDT Makati office. This is a regular position in PLDT.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
An ideal candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least two (2) years work experience in Financial or General Accounting or related field; (1) one year of which as Financial Analyst or any other equivalent position in related field
Proven experience in any or all of the following
- Financial Analysis
- Internal & External Reporting Compliance
- Taxation
Familiar with SAP FI and SAP Treasury Modules, Cashiering and Billing Systems
Experience / familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley (404) process review
Knowledgeable with IFRS 15 / Revenue Recognition Standards
Must have good communication and writing skills to interact with various departments and with outside reporting jurisdictions
Keen attention to detail
Strong analytical and numeracy skills
Advanced user of MS Office applications especially MS Excel. Extensive use of other ACCOUNTING software an advantage
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements for the Company's disbursing bank accounts, depository accounts, designated to Sales and Service Centers (SSCs), Treasury and Corporate Cashiers, and banks and other authorized payment channels (APC) and spearhead efforts to promptly resolve differences.
Ensures that all cash transactions per books tally with bank statement entries and vice versa
Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements. Coordinate data requirements and generate consolidated financial data on a timely basis.
Handles monitoring / ageing of clearing accounts, ie., unposted bank remittances, unposted returned checks, cash clearing, and outstanding stale checks.
Performs quarterly SARBOX testing of subprocesses in CashA, in tandem with other teams in the division. Respond to SARBOX and related issues / comments that would be raised by the internal and external auditors, by investigating the root causes, and immediately remediate them to prevent recurrence.
