The Role
Our client is an Australian based (east and west coast) company working in the Information Technology space. We are seeking an experienced hands-on Financial Accountant to provide offshore support to the business and to support the business as it grows.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position shall be based from your home office.
Responsibilities for this role includes but are not limited to:
Acting as the subject matter expert for Financial Accounting.
Gathering, monitoring and analysing financial data to prepare/create weekly, monthly, statutory and annual accounts reports and budgets (balance sheets, income statement, profit & loss, cash flow, KPI reports and indicators, financial trends, etc)
Making financial and procedure recommendation to enhance service, income, control costs and improve efficiency.
Preparation and submission of monthly PAYG and Payroll Tax, BAS and Superannuation on quarterly basis with ATO.
Invoicing & supplier payments.
Reconciliation of accounts and bank.
Accounts payable and receivable.
Payroll processing.
Development of financial system management.
Records keeping, filing and document management.
The successful candidates will have:
Highly skilled relationship management skills.
Exceptional planning and organisation skills.
High level written and documentation skills.
High degree of accuracy.
Excellent experience in Accounts and Accounting.
Proficient knowledge and experience in Xero would be well regarded.
