Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
Post journal entries and adjustments through the accounting system
Examine financial records to check for accuracy and compliance with existing policies
Prepare bank reconciliation, amortization & depreciation schedules, and other balance sheet schedules
Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement in accordance with the generally accepted accounting principles, practices, and reporting guidelines
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and other management reports by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data and trends
Coordinate and prepare all relevant documentations and schedules for annual financial audits
Ensure compliance with all tax filing requirements and other government regulations
Additional tasks may be given for other functions related to the employee's scope above.
Minimum Qualifications:
Functional Competencies
1. Mastery of computer basics and operations
2. Ability to perform audit/invoicing duties using prescribed system
3. Ability to adapt to the company's culture, model the core values and adhere to the Company's code of conduct
4. Effective time management and ability to work with minimum supervision
Education & Work Background
1. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA is preferred
2. Minimum of 4 years work experience in local accounting (Philippine settings)
3. Experience in Quickbooks and Xero accounting software
4. Familiarity with PEZA regulations and US GAAP is a plus
Required Skills
1. Analytical, detail-oriented, excellent follow-through skills and communication skills
2. Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office Applications
