Significant involvement in the design, planning, and execution of the accounting & reporting solution system both from a functional and user perspective and supporting the testing and data workstreams
Working with central and local project management, including regional and local workstreams and external consultants, to support planning and execution of delivery plans
Working closely with the insurance business units (including Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting and Product Development) to support and develop their understanding of the central accounting & reporting solution
Lead the development of the new accounting and reporting processes to feed into the IFRS 17 product.
Perform parallel runs and generation of comparative figures, testing and refining the operating model to ensure full readiness for the go-live date for IFRS 17 financial reporting
Perform monthly reconciliations on the output generated from the IFRS 17 system
Prepare the full sets of IFRS17 financial results including disclosures
Liaise with IFRS 4 Reporting team and work closely in ensuring the IFRS17 results are complete and accurate
Prepare regulatory submission template to Insurance Commission and external parties based on their requirement
Provide any other support as required
Requirements:
A degree in Accountancy and a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience along with CPA designation or equivalent
Has more than 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, experience with IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 is an advantage
Audit or business experience in financial statement close or the application of accounting standards
Demonstrate mastery of key concepts and principles related to process improvements, project management, and change management show an ability to apply these consistently in engagement settings
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment
A dedication to teamwork and leadership
Good communication skills, with proficiency in English
