Support the Team Lead in managing and overseeing the daily workflow of the team ensuring optimal accuracy and delivery of service. Act as the subject matter expert (SME). Contribute to the team's business plan to maximize productivity and performance.
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the reinsurance strategy and processes to ensure key information is considered in planning and priorities support wider business strategy
Ensure compliance on company policies, process and procedures (e.g. process controls, DTP), and relevant legislations
Ensure documents are well maintained
Develop and maintain relationships with QBE Divisions, Reinsurers, Brokers, Underwriters and Claims in order to aid recovery process and maximize the reinsurance strategy
Ensure the services are delivered as per SLA and maintain quality work consistently, and high standards of service are maintained and improved upon
Review data inputs in Divisional Reinsurance System to ensure accuracy and completeness
Continue to seek improvements in the processes
Implement Plan/delegate work allocations
Prepare or create regular or ad-hoc reports needed by stakeholders
Review the monthly close out tasks
Analyze the aged debt report and review comments provided for effective credit control
Perform administrative functions as assigned
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
3 years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
CPA, CMA
Preferred Competencies/Skills
Strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High proficiency in MS tools
Very good attention to detail
Ability to work on a local and global team, as well as collaborate with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a common goal
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage, prioritize and effectively meet deadlines working on multiple assignments simultaneously.
Intermediate to advanced problem-solving skills and analytical skills
Excellent presentation skills
Can perform with minimal supervision from Team Leader
Preferred Experience
experience in audit,
Insurance, multinational company or shared services environment
Insurance / Re-insurace certification (ARe) is an advantage
CPA,CMA is an advantage
Preferred Knowledge
Knowledge of General Insurance Terminologies, Accounts and Class of Business
Knowledge of appropriate regulatory/statutory frameworks
