Processing, analyzing and reporting of financial statements and journals.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure all processes are documented in a standard format and maintained in an accessible fashion
Contribute to the refinement of processes and procedures to improve systems and procedures
Ensure compliance on provided legislations, industry codes, company policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain an efficient/ effective relationship with finance teams
Resolve daily issues and escalations, provide valuable contribution for their resolutions, and communicate information to the team to prevent further issues
Ensure consistency and effective suite of reports (e.g. general ledger) and results provided to business enabling management to monitor business profitability
Perform medium complexity tasks, with increased focus on highly complex and urgent tasks
Assist in the preparation of the monthly deliverables such as expense journals, re-classification of accounts, and management reports.
Responsible for the preparation of the Quarterly and Yearly Blackline reconciliation.
Responsible in clearing Bank reconciling items for the applicable business units.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Sound technical understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures
Problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS tools

At least 2-3 years relevant work experience
Audit experience preferred, experience from Big 4 an advantage
Preferred Knowledge
Broad knowledge of Financial and Accounting Procedures
Intermediate understanding of best practice accounting
Knowledge of appropriate regulatory/ statutory frameworks and how they impact on the insurance sectors
