The APAC/EMEA Payroll Manager is a key team member who will be responsible for leading the payroll department of both regions and will work to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the Payroll, including payroll journals and reconciliations for close purposes.
What will your job look like?
Lead and manages APAC/EMEA payroll functions liaising closely with HR operations and outsource payroll provides to ensure payrolls are processed accurately and timely for more than 4500 employees in multiple countries in both regions.
Improve system interfaces to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments)
Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Reviews, build, and maintain complete catalog of process maps
Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
Ensure companies' activities comply with legal, professional, and ethical standard
Assess impact of new policies programs to payroll and time landscape (process, system, people) to ensure appropriate level of process standard.
Mentor, coach, and provide expertise and guidance to existing payroll teams.
You work with a variety of internal and external business and departments on projects for implementing new payroll platforms and processes with the objective of improving overall payroll efficiencies.
You will be responsible to define and develop Service Level Agreements, identify and drive key payroll metrics to provide best in class service to internal and external customers.
This position reports directly to APAC Controller based in Manila.
All you need is...
5 years of proven experience as a Regional payroll manager or similar role, managing high volume and complex payroll processes for more than 1000 employees in multiple countries
3 years of hands on experience in payroll processing
Knowledge in APAC/EMEA local employment, benefits, and individual income tax related legislations
Experience in managing outsource payroll provides and driving SLA's
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
Analytical, detail-oriented, and high quality oriented, manage multiple tasks successfully
Deep functional knowledge of APAC/EMEA payroll environment is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to confidently present complex information to all levels of the organization and tailoring the content appropriately to the audience.
Leader with initiative and drive who collaborates well in a virtual, team-oriented regional environment and builds strong effective working relationships.
Self-starter who can make sound business decisions with little supervision
Commitment-minded and goal-oriented individual with a "will to win" mindset
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPP, CPM, CPA) is a plus
