Job Description
Join our team as anAU Finance Officer! Responsibilities include coordinating month-end tasks, preparing management accounts, reconciling general ledger accounts, reviewing contracts, providing NetSuite support, handling phone inquiries, updating cash flow forecasts, and assisting with tax obligations.

What do you need to succeed
Demonstrated experience in ledger management, reconciliation (including bank reconciliation), fixed asset management, cash management, AP reconciliation, AR reconciliation, soft collections, and experience in preparing BAS/IAS and AU payroll.
Solid hands-on accounting experience of 2-5 years, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Exposure to various aspects of accounting in SMEs, including financial reporting, cashflow management, inventory management, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), import processes, fixed asset management, and payroll.
Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with Excel and ERP systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
What awaits you in this role
You will be responsible for coordinating the month-end timetable in collaboration with the invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable teams.
Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts by the 8th working day, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Additionally, provide summary reports by the 10th working day to support decision-making processes.
Conduct general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies or errors.
Review customer contracts and purchase orders, making recommendations and presenting them to the Financial Controller for final review and approval.
Act as the NetSuite Super-user for the Finance department, serving as the first point of contact for user queries and providing support in NetSuite development in consultation with the Group Systems Manager.
Respond to phone inquiries promptly, providing assistance and information as required.
Maintain and update the Cashflow forecast on a daily basis, ensuring accurate projections of cash inflows and outflows.
Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of BAS/IAS (Business Activity Statement/Income Activity Statement) and other tax liabilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist the Payroll &; HR Officer with month-end tax preparation obligations, including payroll tax, superannuation, and workcover, to ensure accurate and timely submission.
